The Erasmus+ KA2 project ‘European Digital University Staff Competencies’ (EDUSC) aims to support and accelerate digitalization in higher education. By training staff members in digital competencies while utilizing modern and digital teaching methodology, staff members are encouraged to become digital internationalization stewards and to join a community of ambassadors for digital transformation that benefits the whole sector. The project is led by Confia International, and Kiron is a partner together with the Young European Research University Network, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and the Tor Vergata University of Rome.

Through a range of project activities, EDUSC’s objective is to lead by example and have higher education staff embrace digital transformation. The project team aims to create a community platform that provides an interactive digital toolkit of resources, information, good practices and user stories that the community can share, discuss and benefit from. Additionally, the project will create Open Educational Resources (OERs) for some of the most relevant topics in digital transformation in internationalization of higher education.

Kiron will lead one of the five intellectual outputs about community-informed good practice and the implementation toolkit for digital stewards. In addition to a research study covering the needs of HR practitioners, Kiron will set up a community platform for digital competence development. The aim of the community platform is to transform the initial version into a living collection of guidelines, practices and information. The toolkit will therefore be transformed into separate areas in the community platform that practitioners can add on to, comment on and update when necessary. The community platform will also allow for the exchange of practitioners.
