Meet Nyima

I want to finish my course on political science with Kiron and be able to transfer to an offline university. My learning goal is to get a degree in the area of my interest, political science.

What does empowerment mean to you?

The process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling my own life and claiming my rights.

Do you have a role model who inspires you and why?

My grandmother is my role model because she made me the person I am today. She gave me a lot of reasons to be me and share whatever belongs to my success. She is a very strong woman and believes in getting things done right and at its time.

What do you like about Kiron?/What does Kiron mean to you?

I like the mentoring services and their efforts to empower women in higher education. Kiron means a lot to me, for it has helped me advance in my career and educational development.

What do you want to achieve with Kiron/what are your learning goals?

I want to finish my course on political science with Kiron and be able to transfer to an offline university. My learning goal is to get a degree in the area of my interest, political science.

What challenges are you facing?

My challenge is time management. I mean, balancing my career with online studies. Sometimes I also find it very difficult to follow the course due to technical problems. I need support, probably from a lecturer who will support me along, at least once a week.

What are your plans for the future?

I am looking forward to obtaining a bachelor’s degree in political science and to having my own online media platform where I can give voice to women and empower them to reach the next level in their careers. These are my plans for the next five years.
